ABOUT: Gallery Walk 2024

Don’t miss downtown Juneau on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 4:30-7:30 pm – it’s Gallery Walk, Juneau’s annual holiday celebration of the arts! Throughout Juneau, you’ll discover nearly 50 different locations with pop-up artist showings, live music, performances, and more.

The Juneau Tours Holiday Trolley will be operating approximately every twenty minutes making a loop of four stops: the Alaska State Museum, South Franklin Street by the Tram, the corner of Franklin & Front Street, and the Capitol Building. Park and ride for free to get all around town with no hassle. Free parking will be available at the Subport Lot by the US Coast Guard Building, and free parking will be offered after 3pm on Friday, December 6th at the Shopper’s Lot, the North Franklin Lot, the Downtown Transportation Center Garage, and the Marine Parking Garage thanks to the City & Borough of Juneau and Juneau District Heating.

Front Street, between Franklin and Seward, will be closed on Friday, December 6th from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM to make space for gathering and celebrating around our fire pit and warming up with free hot chocolate as we enjoy performances and music throughout the evening. Be entertained with festive music from the folks at Juneau Media Center and performances by local groups, including JAMM students, Eagle Raven Dance Group, JDHS Dance and Zansler on Front Street. Vox Borealis holiday caroling can be heard from 5:30-7:30pm at Trove South Franklin Street. Juneauites are encouraged to stop by the Sealaska Arts Campus, Atnané Hít, to visit with artists and vendors, watch Native Youth Olympics demonstrations in the Caln House, and enjoy a special music performance at the Sealaska Corporation building. Visit Santa and take a S(elf)ie with him at Downtown Heritage Coffee for a donation in support of Juneau Animal Rescue.

Grab your friends, family, and warm winter clothes to enjoy another year of Gallery Walk! Make sure to pop into downtown shops to warm up, browse the amazing selections, meet artists, listen to live music in various locations, and shop local gifts.

Gallery Walk is brought to you by the Downtown Business Association and the Juneau Arts & Humanities Council, with sponsorship from Heritage Coffee, Juneau District Heating, Juneau Whale Watch Tours, KTOO, Local First Media Group, and Sealaska Heritage Institute.

Gallery Walk is a free community event! It couldn’t happen without support from all over Juneau, including IBEW, JPD, CCFR, CBJ Streets & Permits Departments, our dedicated volunteers, and all of YOU!
