  • BE SEEN BY THOUSANDS OF TOURISTS: As a DBA Member, your business will be featured on the 2023 Downtown Map seen by thousands of tourists each year. It is estimated that more than one million cruise visitors will reach our docks this summer. Our team of Downtown Ambassadors are there every day, up to ten hours a day in the summer, to welcome them personally and actively hand out these maps while giving personalized recommendations and directions to local shops, driving business directly to your doorstep.
  • SUPPORT A CLEAN & SAFE DOWNTOWN: The DBA’s Downtown Ambassadors, in addition to welcoming folks to Juneau, keep tabs on safety and cleanliness concerns downtown, reporting to the appropriate authorities and helping to maintain an inviting downtown atmosphere.
  • HELP MAKE JUNEAU A GREAT CAPITAL: Juneau is Alaska’s Capital City and the positive experience of Legislators and visitors to Juneau during the Legislative Session is important to our ability to keep statewide support to serve as Alaska’s Capital. A strong and vibrant downtown is key to a strong economy in any community, including Juneau.
  • NETWORKING & COMMUNITY: The DBA hosts events and mixers every year, each of which is a great opportunity to meet and network with other Juneau business owners. Being part of a supportive community that fosters and nurtures businesses of all sizes. The DBA hosts signature events & promotions throughout the year, such as Gallery Walk and the Downtown Brunch Punch Card, which draw people into your businesses and collectively market your presence to the Juneau community year-round. DBA also works with our partner organizations to host professional development opportunities, such as the Marketing Matters Series, to help support our members in growing their businesses.
  • OPPORTUNITY TO PROMOTE YOUR BUSINESS: DBA Members can sponsor events and be prominently featured on promotional materials such as fliers, banners, t-shirts, stickers, and anywhere we market the events on social media, in print, or on the radio. There is an open invitation to DBA members to submit news, milestones, or accomplishments to our Downtown Director to be posted to the DBA social media sites including Facebook and Instagram for the JEDC, DBA, and Choose Juneau as appropriate.
  • A VOICE FOR THE DOWNTOWN BUSINESS COMMUNITY: The DBA provides a voice for the downtown business community, which helps shape local and state policies, impacting the future of downtown Juneau for years to come.
